Welcome

Welcome to group three’s first blog post where we will be discussing the beginning of the deciding part of our food product development project for POUL 5140. Group three consists of five members, Lindsey Spencer, Katie Martin, Cierra James, Hunter Murphy, and John Blake Sansom. Once we had been split into our group, the decision process began. The first objective on the to-do list was to decide on what the name of our group was going to be. After some deliberation by our group members, we decided to call our group Kick-6 Chicken. It's just one of those names that’s catchy but rolls off the tongue super easily. The next thing on our agenda was to decide everyone’s role within the group. First up on the roles to be decided, was who was going to be the group leader. Our group agreed that Lindsey Spencer is a great candidate to lead our group in a successful direction. The next role up for grabs was that of the reporter, and it was decided that Katie would be an excellent candidate for this position with her impressive note-taking skills. Lastly, it was agreed that Cierra James would be the leading designer of Kick-6 Chicken’s eportfolio due to her incredible design skills. Finally, it was time to get down to the fun, or should I say the yummy side of the project; it was time to start brainstorming on what products we are going to focus on for our project. After much time was spent discussing several options, we were able to narrow it down to three options that we believe will be products that consumers will love. Those three products are bacon wrapped chicken jalapeno poppers, buffalo chicken wontons, and sweet chicken bacon wraps.
